Rebecca Strauss

It wasn't that long ago that a classical music headshot was, quite frankly, a pretty staid and boring thing. These cookie-cutter shots were all vertical, all centered, and all pretty serious in demeanor. Times have changed, and the modern headshot can take a variety of forms: plenty of musicians prefer to look accessible and sexy; some decide to use an artsy horizontal (a.k.a "landscape") shot; and many choose to place their instruments in less formal ways than that which was conventional in Days of Yore. Here, violist Rebecca Strauss - whose regular gigs include her own Riverview Chamber Players and the New England String Ensemble - gives a classy new look to a classic art form. Vive la difference!
