Rebecca Parris & Santa

Jazz legend Rebecca Parris has long played a major role in the Boston music scene. For the past twenty years, the earthy, engaging vocalist has been performing on stages around the world, recording fine albums, winning awards, and collaborating with talents both new and established. Since Rebecca and I go way back -- I photographed my first album cover for her on the beaches of Cape Cod in 1984 -- she has involved me in shooting many of her creative projects and pairings. As a result, I've had the pleasure of working with Rebecca in tandem with such diverse and delightful characters as Loretta Laroche, Gary Burton, Phil Wilson ... and Santa Claus?

Yep, St. Nick popped in to help Ms. Parris out on her recent holiday CD, THE SECRET OF CHRISTMAS, produced and sponsored by Gene Arnould of Marblehead Summer Jazz. When not posing for my cameras, incidentally, Santa is often seen being photographed (in season, of course) at the Burlington Mall!
